With Valentine’s day inching closer and closer, people are saying that love is in the air. To feed into that love, I am going to do a roundup of all the people I love in my life.
I Love My Family
I love my Mom to the moon and back. She has always been there for me when I really needed advice and she always shows support for the things I pursue. Including my blog! I miss her so much all of the time and I absolutely adore her. When I go and visit her I always feel like there is never enough time. We still bicker sometimes like every mother and daughter out there, but we’ve also been each others #1 since I was born. I already know that won’t ever change, which is what makes living far from each other so hard. She currently lives in Colorado but thankfully we call often, she’s the best mother I could have asked for.
I love my Dad for pushing me to be the best me I can be. He always sets high expectations but I know it is only because he wants to see me succeed. I am glad to have him in my life. My mom is always saying how alike we are and sometimes I completely agree. We are both very hard headed and also put a lot of effort into our passions. Some of my favorite memories with him are when we made my first music videos together, when we went golfing and all the times we watched war movies together. He has really broadened my views on the world and I’ve learned a lot from him.
George! He has been my Step Father since around 2011! That’s quite some time! Before I moved out to Arizona he was a great father figure in my life. He also treated me like I was his since he met my mom, I never felt like he was only there for my mom. He was genuinely there for me too. He has introduced me to new foods, new activities outdoors and new adventures. I am so grateful that my mom married him and to have him in my life!
So, first of all, my Step Mother has been in my life since I was about 2 years old. She has basically known me my entire life. I love her to death and she has been more than supportive to me since I moved to Arizona. That is really hard to come by. She has been a second mom to me and I love that she is apart of my family and has welcomed me to be apart of hers as well. Now I just need to learn some recipes from her so I can eat more than pasta!
Oh god, my brother. Honestly, I am very proud of him. He excels in sports and has always been quite the athlete. I still assert my dominance as elder sister and he tries to tear that down all of the time, but I could not ask for a better brother. I am glad that I have had the opportunity to live with him for the past few years. I know he will do great things and I can’t wait to cheer him on the whole time!
I Love My Friends
Reanna and I met within the last year. She was actually best friends with my ex when I first met her. During the time we dated she stopped being his friend because he treated her poorly. When I broke up with him her and I linked up. She has been an amazing friend to me, and she has taught me that I deserve the world. I love her to death. She’s my little emotional fireball and she inspires me to do better for myself all the time. Even when I don’t want to hear it. We also have weekly dates where we get macaroni, ice cream and gossip about our boyfriends. True friendship.
Dunesia has been my friend for about 4 years. Maybe a little more. We met at Dairy Queen where we both worked part time. Oh the memories. I also forced her to watch my favorite anime one time (the entire season in one day before our shift), she introduced me to iZombie and we both love pasta. I am super grateful to have a long history with her. Out of all the friends I have she is definitely a super loyal one. She also supports all of my crazy antics and I give her way too much support on sending risky texts. Oh well, here’s to many more years of both of us being ridiculous.
I Love My Boyfriend
Oh I know, here comes the sappy love post. I am so happy to be with this wonderful man. He has been so good to me since the moment I met him. We first met in September and neither of us wanted to be in a relationship. But he surprised me in a lot of ways. He was the first guy who would actually play chess with me, we also played Speed (a game with cards), Checkers and we even made up our own game. We named it ‘Flukey’ and one day we will make millions off of it, but until then I won’t share too many details. Haha. I am grateful for all of the love he gives me. I am really hoping that he is the one, and I know he believes that I am his one. I’m so happy to have such a great Valentine.
I Love My Furry Friend
Awww.. my handsome boy! Alright, here’s a story for you. When I first got my cat, I probably changed his name like 7 times. I honestly couldn’t name him because nothing felt right. Not to mention, I was told my cat was a She instead of a He for the first month I owned him. That did not help me at all. I ended up referring to him as Sir all of the time. Mainly to ridicule him, and now I say his name is Sir because he’s a gentleman. It’s a dumb story but even if it took me forever to give him a name, I love him with all my heart. He always cuddles with me, he wants to be with me when I sleep and he’s always trying to get between me and Derrick. I’m excited to have him for the next several years and I’m so happy I adopted him. Oh, and you’ll be glad to know his name is officially Sir George. (My brother called him George and I guess it stuck.)
